Uprising up·ris·ing \ noun \ˈəp-ˌrī-ziŋ
\ The act or instance of
rising up
This
is the name that we feel God has given us for a group of young people who are
ready to rise up and discover all that God has for them. To rise up is to
make a change in your current position, to reach for higher goals, to take a
stand, to make a difference, to make a change.
There
are many ways to describe an ‘uprising’ but describing it alone doesn’t
really help.
This new ministry is for young adults who have felt that there just
wasn’t a place for them within the church anymore. This is “Uprising” . . . A time of fellowship that will offer each person with a desire to
grow, an opportunity to get plugged into an area of ministry, join a class,
attend Bible study groups, communicate with others who have like interests,
serve within the community, and basically, make a change in their lives that
will change others’ lives as well.
Please join us as we launch this new area of ministry. “Uprising”
meets on Sunday evenings from 6-7pm backstage in the Aldridge Center (CLC)
for worship, teaching and fellowship.
Currently, “Uprising”
is enjoying studying the word of God together – “What is Revival?” – learning what we must have within us to truly see a
revival in our lives.
